How to reach us

Naples ha different ports. Hydrofoils from Naples to Ischia depart from Molo Beverello port or Mergellina. However ferries are not departing from Molo Beverello port any longer, they leave from Porta di Massa port instead. From Molo Beverello to Porta di Massa you can use the free shuttle service. From Naples Airport Capodichino and from the central railway station (Napoli Centrale) you can reach Molo Beverello or Porta di Massa ports by taxi (ask for right taxi fare) or by bus (Alibus or 3S).
To sum up, here is how you can reach Ischia:
  • From Porta di Massa by ferry (which also carries cars);
  • from Beverello, by hydrofoil;
  • from Mergellina’s port by hydrofoil.
Those arriving by car from north can take a ferry from Pozzuoli to Ischia (Ischia Porto and Casamicciola Terme).

Moving around the island

Hotel Ulisse - Ischia on a bike
Ischia boasts an excellent network of bus lines. Buses start from the square opposite the port and reach every city in the island. One bus stop is 20 meters from Hotel Ulisse. Tickets for a single journey or daily tickets can be purchased at the hotel’s reception.
At the reception you can also conveniently select and book many interesting excursions on the island and in the Gulf of Naples.
If you like independence you can rent cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
